Life's a Beach!

Have you ventured out this week to enjoy the greater freedom arising from our moving to step two of the Government’s roadmap out of lockdown? Have you got plans to go places as the weather improves? We will not move to Step 3 until May 17 at the earliest, but I thought this might interest you and give you some ideas of nearby places and some further afield. In our time, our family has been to just about all of them.  With pubs partially reopening, this might also interest you.

Beaches feature quite heavily in our thoughts - our’s our stunning; luckily we have not had to deal with this most recent problem Brighton has had, polystyrene balls.

Last week I talked about gardens and birds quite a bit so I felt I should quickly share this before and after transformation of a front garden into something more mediterranean, as well as this advice on some easy April gardening tasks and less happily this article on the decline in 16 of our 20 top garden birds.

There is a national online book of condolence where you can leave a message for the Royal Family. For a short while the country paused, and will do so again on Saturday for the funeral. We stopped campaigning including leafleting and putting up signs until Tuesday, at which point the Team finally got to pound the streets and I tried to lose some of my lockdown lump. Between us we will have notched well over 500,000 steps. Some of us also got some extra steps helping deliver holiday meals to local children, whilst others are involved in other community groups and activities.

This coming week we are hoping to share some perspectives from members of our team on being involved in a campaign because not being party political, we thought it might interest you. In case you miss any, you can look back at all our blog posts at any time. Localism is growing in the UK. There are now 353 parites registered with the Electoral Commission, including the Alliance for Local Living, Andover Alliance and the Independent Alliance (Kent),

And finally: -

As always, from the whole Team, stay safe
