Treat it Well

Where does the A27 end? Come to that, does it ever, or at least do the queues on the Chichester Bypass? More of us have unfortunately been delayed in the last couple of weeks with Whyke Road shut, but hopefully that is done with. This week I learnt where the A27 ends , and I think I drove there at least once when I was in my twenties (sadly some while ago!)    Summer is coming, Half Term is upon us, and many people (including a lot from outside our District) will be hoping for good weather so, for a short while, “Life is a Beach!” We have a lot to share with you this week, including a reminder that CDC is responsible for our foreshores (except the private part of West Wittering) and this is their Foreshore Code Our District’s beauty is something we all want to protect and maintain ( read this article about Birdham or this about Singleton .) I was therefore interested to read about a study that found that if we were to cut our meat consumption by 20%, it might halve the p...

The most important thing we must do this week is wish all our young people taking exams the best - we recognise that you've done amazingly well, under challenging circumstances!   Have you visited the beauty spot where the Kings of Sussex were buried ?   "We are everyday people, we are not politicians."    There is a new buzzword gaining rapid traction; 'hyper-local' describes organised independents like us who get together to fight for their area. The quote at the start could easily greet you when you land on our website homepage, but actually comes from Radcliffe First's who now have 5 of their area's 8 seats on Bury Borough (District) Council. Like us, they are one of the 349 registered political parties in the UK. This is not unusual anymore, nearer to home, my school in Elmbridge Borough is controlled by several hyper-local groups working together .   This week's interesting reads include a Sussex drive that is reminiscent of driving through rural Italy , Cissbury Ring and it's wild ponies being compared to the New Forest and David Walliams spotted locally . Don't forget parts of his new comedy series and the Repair Shop are filmed here . As Summer is round the corner, Surrey's ...
