On Monday Val had CDC’s Boundary Review Panel and Donna had a meeting of WSCC’s Governance Committee. On Tuesday I had my regular briefing from CDC’s Senior Leadership Team. On Wednesday Val and Donna had CDC’s Planning. Later that day, Ali, Ian, Mike, Donna and I had STC's Finance and Administration group. Thursday was CDC’s Budget Review Group, which Donna is now on too so we retain input when meetings clash with school. Next week the whole team has an Extraordinary Full STC at 6pm on Wednesday before Mick, Val, Ali, Andrew and Gareth have Planning at 7.30pm. On Thursday Donna and Val have CDC’s Housing, Communities, Culture & Sport Panel.

We have a couple of interesting reads to share with you this week: last week we shared an article about average earnings by age; walking crops up quite often in our blogs because of the coastal and rural character of our District, so you might enjoy comparing your walking speed to the average for your age group. A worrying read concerns Southern Water: a research student has found (not that far away) worrying levels of microplastics in the Medina Estuary on the Isle of Wight, prompting a review.
